Will it be Suriya vs Tarak?

Sankranti season this year was a major disappointment as no big Telugu film except ‘Gopala Gopala’ got released. But Tamil dubbed film ‘I’ gave tough competition to ‘Gopala Gopala’. Though ‘I’ was not successful in Telugu, it did better than ‘Gopala Gopala’ thanks to the huge hype surrounding it. Now next year, Sankranti is also likely to have another Tamil film in the race.

It is Suriya’s ‘24’ which is directed by Vikram Kumar who gained fame with hits like ‘Ishq’ and ‘Manam’ in Telugu. The film also casts Tollywood’s lucky girl Samantha and musicis by ‘AR Rehman’. As there were no big Tamil films in that season, ‘24’ team decided to release the film during Sankranthi and it is known that Suriya’s films will be released on the same day both in Telugu and Tamil.
