Naidu rubs salt on KE wounds!!

The deputy Chief Minister and Revenue Minister KE Krishna Murthy is the senior most of all the Ministers in AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu cabinet. Even Chandrababu Naidu is his junior in politics. KE, as he is popularly known had held very important positions in his long political carrier. And he proved a good, efficient administrator. However in Chandrababu dispensation, the BC leader of strong base, remained just a figure head without any powers, thanks to Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu his ways of discrimination against senior leaders of experience..

KE is the only Minister in the cabinet who opposed land acquisition and land pooling policies of the government. So, Chandrababu made him a figure head of revenue department while ‘others’ running the show. It may be recalled here that reports of China Babu interference in transfers in revenue department hit the headlines at the instance of the Chief Minister.

And when KE took objection to force full land acquisition the Chief Minister simply sidelined him and entrusted the capital city land acquisition to his trusted man Narayana. At one point of time KE openly expressed his dissatisfaction over the insulted he is subjected to and reportedly threatened to resign. But Naidu who is determined to go ahead with his plans ignored the threats.

KE Krishna Murthy, for reasons best known to him digested all the humiliation all these days. And now the Chief Minister once again rubbed salt to BC leaders wounds. The Chief Minister ignored the rich experience of his deputy in reconstituted cabinet sub- committee on land acquisition instead accommodated his inexperienced son and IT and PR Minister Lokesh in the committee. And in the process he even pushed out the protocol norms and established tradition in constituting such committees. Usually the concerned minister, in his case eh Revenue Minister is supposed to chair the committee. But Naidu pushed all the norms aside in his hurry to promote his son into key positions.

Rubbing salt to the wounds the junior most Minister Akhila Priya, who also hails from Kurnool, so far since she became the minister not even made a courtesy call on KE, forget about giving him his due respect.
