Shock to YSRCP in Chittoor

Chittoor: In a blow to YSR Congress Party in Chittoor district, party leader M Subramanyam Reddy announced his resignation from the party.

Subramanyam, who contested three times against Chandrababu Naidu in Kuppam, was denied ticket last time. He served as Chittoor ZP Chairman and joined the YSRCP after YS Jagan floated it.

In the last elections, he was denied ticket and Chandramouli was fieled with a view to get the vote bank of Vannekula Kshatriyas.

In a letter addressed to the party chief YS Jagan, he has stated that he campaigned in entire constituency before 2014 elections as he was promised the ticket. Though, he was denied the ticket, he had worked wholeheartedly for party candidate, he claimed. He was not getting any invitations for the party programmes.
