Counting begins for Karnataka elections

Tuesday, May 15, is the D Day for Karnataka. This day will decide who would rule Karnataka for the next five years. The people’s verdict expressed by the pressing of a button is now safely stored in the EVMs.

Exactly at 8 AM, the counting will begin for all the 222 seats. This counting will decide the fate of 2640 candicates. The results are expected to be out by 1 PM and the form and shape of the next government will be clear by that time.

The election has been postponed in Jayanagar assembly constituency, where the BJP candidate died during the campaigning. The election in RajarajeswariNagar assembly constituency has been countermanded in view of the large-scale irregularities and the unearthing of over 10000 ID cards in a building.

The leader interacting with people directly and holding meetings with small groups in little towns and listening to the grievances of working classes belonging to various fields.

People reveals their anguish, grievances and disappointment over the ruling party without any inhibition. YS Jagan had so far confined himself to addressing the public meetings and delivering speeches from open-top vans.

Jagan who started his Padayatra on November 6, 2017, has so far covered 2000 Kms which includes 9 districts , 75 Assembly constituencies , 125 Mandals and 1050 Villages .
