Godavari Boat Mishap: Rescue operations on 

In a tragic incident, a boat carrying more than 50 people capisized in Godavari river in East Godavari on Tuesday evening. Nearly 20 people have safely swam to the banks of the river.

The tragedy took place at Manturu of Devipatnam Mandal. National Disaster Response Force Personnel were pressured into trace the drowned people. Many politicians including AP CM Chandrababu Naidu and Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyanhave expressed their grief over the incident. AP CM Chandrababu Naidu directed the Officials to launch rescue operation to save the victims.

The police have booked a case against Khaja, who is said to have operated the ill-fated boat.
