The national flag will fly at half mast to mourn the demise of the DMK patriarch and all official functions cancelled for Wednesday. The Tamil Nadu government has announced public holiday for Wednesday and seven-day state mourning for the DMK president , who has been Chief Minister for 5 times.
President, PM, many CMs to attend funeral today
The President Ramnath Kovind and the Prime Minister Narendra Modi sent glowing tributes to the veteran leader and are scheduled to attend hs funeral on Wednesday. Many Chief Ministers are also expected to pay their last respects to the leader, including Telangana Chief Minister, K. Chandrashekar Rao.
