Hardik Patel hospitalised on 14th day of hunger strike

The Patidar leader of Gujarat, Hardik Patel’s health is now critical as he even stopped intake of water since 18 hours,even as he entered the 14th day of his hunger strike.

He was shifted to the hospital shortly after senior Patidar community leader Naresh Patel, met him to call off the strike or take medical treatment.

The Gujarat government has so far not made any plans to hold talks or resolve the issue. Hardik Patel’s demands have been reservations for the Patidar community in government jobs and education for the community, waiver of farm loans and finally the release from jail of his close aide Alpesh Kathiria.

Hardik Patel has been a thorn in the flesh of the BJP government in the state of Gujarat since the Paatidar agitation in 2014-15 and openly a challenge to theModi- Amit Shah supremacyin their home state.

Patidar Ananmat Andolan Samiti (PAAS) functionary said that Hardik is in the ICU of Sola Civil Hospital.
