Even though AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu hailed Modi’s demonetisation drive to curtail black money, there seems to be severe criticism from the ruling TDP on the Centre’s move. Of late, Chandrababu Naidu expressed dissatisfaction saying that the things did not come to normalcy even after 12 days.
He went on to say that he never witnessed such a peculiar situation in his entire political career where the leaders failed to find a solution to the problem. People, rich and poor alike, were facing problem in exchanging currency and the impact was felt across the regions, he added. Although there are two ministers in the Naidu’s cabinet, the TDP leaders are making indirect criticism on Modi.
Interestingly, the AP BJP leadership are silent on the issue. There is sharp criticism that the AP BJP cadre has become puppet in the hands of Chandrababu Naidu. The reason behind this situation is Union minister M Venkaiah Naidu, opine BJP party workers. They also rued that AP unit BJP president Haribabu along with Minister Kamineni Srinivas and several leaders are making the BJP unit powerless in the State.
