Attack on Jagan: Vijayasai Reddy says police trying to mislead

YSRCP senior leader and Rajya Sabha member V Vijayasai Reddy said there was a deep conspiracy and there must be a clear plan against YS Jagan. He expressed doubts as to how could the assailant manage to get the weapon into the high security area like the Vizag international airport.

He demanded that the Government order a comprehensive probe to unravel the conspiracy and to expose those who are behind the deadly attack. He pointed out that though the YSRCP has demanded several times for upgrading YS Jagan’s security, the State Government had turned a deaf ear.

He pointed out that the condition of the vehicles that are being given to YS Jagan was bad and there were repeated breakdowns. He expressed the apprehension that the DGP was trying to sidetrack the attack. He said the claims that Srinivas, the assailant, was a Jagan fan and did this to give Jagan some publicity are wrong and misleading.

He also slammed the DGP for saying that since the attack was done inside the airport, the case does not come under the AP police purview. If the police have no jurisdiction over the airport, how could they stop YS Jagan on the Vizag runway when he went to attend the rally demanding special status to Andhra Pradesh, he asked.
