The fast pace political developments taking place in Andhra Pradesh gave a strong indication that Congress and TDP will forge alliance and fight 2019 elections combined.
After the one to one meeting between TDP President N Chandrababu Naidu and AICC General Secretary Ashok Gehlot, it is learnt that the two parties stuck the deal and decided to fight the elections jointly. Congress is seeking 25 assembly seats as part of the pre poll alliance with TDP.
Leaders said that Congress is also keen to seeek Kurnool, Rajampet, Tirupati, Araku, Kakinada and Vishakhapatnam Lol Sabha seats. However, a decision in seat sharing between the two parties will be finalised at the time of elections only.
