Ayyanna walks out of party meet

All is not well in Visakha district TDP. Firebrand TDP leader Ayyanna Patrudu, who minces no words, left the party meeting in a huff on Sunday. He was upset at the party planning to give the Vizag MP seat to a newcomer. He reportedly questioned Chandrababu as to why senior and loyal partymen were being ignored in the selection process.

He asked Chandrababu Naidu pointblank as to what will happen to the loyal party workers if those newcomers, who were given tickets, leave the party later. He said he had sacrificed his seat to make way for newcomers in the last time election.

“I am not willing to make sacrifices now,” he told Chandrababu. But, when it became clear that Chandrababu Naidu had already decided in favour of newcomers, Ayyanna strongly protested and walked out of the meeting. He did not respond to the repeated calls from the CM’s office.
