Union minister Ashwini Kumar Choubey shocked one and all when questioned about former Bihar Chief Minister’s views on trouble in the BJP-led NDA alliance in the state by saying that he would prefer her to stay at home, wearing “ghoonghat.” The minister of health and family welfare said, “What do I say about Rabri Devi? She is like my sister-in-law. It would be better if she remains in ghoonghat [veiled]”.
BJP is anti-women- Rabri devi
The former Chief Minister of Bihar and wife of the incarcerated RJD supremo. Lalu Prasad Yadav replied to the suggestion by questioning the true nature of the “Beti bachaao, beti padhaao” campaign of the BJP if women had to cover themselves with veil and stay indoors.
She said, “BJP’s slogan is ‘beti bachao, beti padhao’ but such insult of daughters? It’s insulting towards all women. I want to ask him, will he ask women leaders in BJP to stay under veil and at home?”
