Suri (Sudhakar Komakula) is a roadside Romeo kind of guy who doesn’t care about anything. One day, he accidentally meets Ramya (Nithya Shetty) and falls in love with her. Ramya also reciprocates his love but because of some issues, the couple parts their ways. Soon after the breakup, Ramya leaves to the US. When Suri was struggling with unemployment and other problems, he luckily gets an opportunity to go to the USA. He meets Ramya again. Did he convince her? What happened later forms the crux of the story.
Sudhakar komakula is undoubtedly the show stealer for this movie. The actor has not only showed great improvement but also succeeded in impressing the audience with his energetic performance which can be considered as one of the major highlights and plus points of the film. Nithya Shetty’s screen space is less but she sill definitely grab the attention with her cute performance. She has not only maintained good chemistry with Sudhakar but also made a really good impression on the audience. Nirosha Radha is a perfect pick for the role. The actress has delivered an honest performance and impressed the audience. Duvvasi Mohan got a meaty role in this film and he has a delivered his best. Deepak Ravella and Raju Anandeshi did their best. The rest of the cast also made their presence felt.
The director has prepared a really nice story for this film and not only added some regular commercial elements like comedy, romance etc but also focused more on the emotions as well. Though the lack of a solid story can be considered as a negative point, we can say that his execution of story and narration won’t make the audience get bored. Production values by Srikanth Daduvai are excellent. The producers have invested decent amounts and haven’t compromised in terms of quality. Suresh Bobbili’s music can be considered as a plus point not only a couple of songs but also his perfect background is impressive. Cinematographers Prakash Velayudhan and Venkat C Dilip produced good visuals for the film. Editing by SB Uddhav is clean and neat.
The movie starts off in an impressive way. The entire first half is filled with the comedy, emotions and also romance whereas the second half turns a bit serious. The director has succeeded in maintaining the constant pace of narration and engaged the audience. The runtime of the movie can also be considered as one of the negative points and it would have been nice if they have chopped off some boring scenes. The climax also felt rushed. Overall, ‘Nuvvu Thopu Raa’ is a one time watch.
