Re-polling in five polling stations in Andhra Pradesh has begun in Andhra Pradesh.
The re-polling which began at 7 am on Monday will continue till 6 pm. The polling began in five booths in Guntur, Prakasam and Nellore districts.
According election officials, as many as 5,064 voters are there in these booths. Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Gopal Krishna Dwivedi said that polling for both Lok Sabha and Assembly elections is being held in three booths in Guntur and Prakasam district and in remaining two booths only for Lok Sabha elections.
The election commission has decided for re-polling in these five booths following complaints of violence and malfunctioning of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs)
