“Independent India’s first terrorist was a Hindu and his name was Nathuram Godse”- Kamal Haasan

Kamal Haasan, actor turned politician speaking at an election rally on Sunday, 12.5.2019, in Tamil Nadu  said, “Independent India’s first terrorist was a Hindu and his name was Nathuram Godse.”

The founder of the new party Makkal Needhi Maiam president Kamal Haasan again reignited the debate on Hindu terror, only few days after the Prime Minister Modi categorically denied the existence of Hindu terror citing the clean chit given to accused including Aseemanand and Sadhu Pragnya Singh, the BJP candidate for Bhopal.

Speaking in Aravakurichu assembly constituency,Kamal Haasan said he was not saying this for the sake of appeasing the Muslims in the crowd but he was saying this in front of Gandhi’s statue as he was still looking for answers to the assassination of the father of the nation. “I want the three colours in the tricolour to remain intact,” he added.
