Is Chandrababu ruining the TDP in North Andhra?

Is TDP chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu ruining the Telugu Desam Party in north coastal Andhra region? Those watching his political moves say, he is exactly doing that. His political decisions are actually harming the party in many ways.

Take for instance, his support to Amaravati. It has completely alienated the TDP MLAs from the region. They neither can oppose nor support Amaravati. They cannot oppose because Vizag falls in their area and its development would benefit the people of the region. Similarly, his decision to promote younger lot has caused lot of disquiet among the seniors in the party. Such tried and tested hand like Gadde Babu Rao has actually left the party in disgust.

Another such decision is now set to divide the politically powerful Kinjarapu family. Chandrababu wants young leader Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu, who is the son of Yerren Naidu to be the party’s working president. At the same time, he had announced the name of Kinjarapu Atchen Naidu for the same post. Later, he is keeping silent about Atchen Naidu. The latest is that he has deferred the announcement of the appointment of Atchen Naidu as the new party president for AP.

This decision has caused a heartburn in Atchen Naidu camp. Now because of his poor management, Chandrababu Naidu has ended up pitting Atchen Naidu against Rammohan Naidu. Thus, the TDP in north Andhra is suffering setback after setback.
