BJP rebel says leaders asked him to join NCP

BJP’s long-time BC face in Maharashtra, Eknath Khadse, claimed that he was advised by senior BJP leaders in Delhi to join the NCP. Khadse dropped a bombshell when he claimed that several senior national leaders told him that there was no future for him in the BJP and told him to join the NCP.

Khadse, who has been sulking at being sidelined in the BJP after allegations of corruption surfaced against him and he was forced to resign, said that the BJP leadership in Maharashtra was arraigned against him. He said that they not just sidelined, but also denied ticket to his daughter. He said he had approached national leaders of the party seeking their advice. He said some party leaders told him to leave the party if he wanted future. He said he has been subjected to lot of insults in the party all these years.

He said many more leaders would follow him in the coming days. He said the BCs were being ignored in the party. A large number of party leaders from Jalgaon district had left the BJP to join the NCP along with Khadse. His daughter, who has political ambitions, too has joined the NCP.
