With the electioneering reaching the peak, the BJP has deployed its big guns in Dubbak in support of its candidate Raghunandan Rao. State party president Bandi Sanjay has joined the party campaign from Thursday and he is set to campaign on Friday, Saturday and Sunday too. He is set to address several public meetings and conduct padayatras. Similarly, Union Minister G Kishan Reddy and party national leader Dr K Laxman are also campaigning on Friday.
On Saturday, party national vice president DK Aruna and firebrand MLA Raja Singh are going to campaign in Dubbak. Both Raja Singh and DK Aruna have campaigned for one round in the initial days. Similarly, party MPs Aravind Dharmapuri and Soyam Bapurao have campaigned for two days and would be in Dubbak again on Saturday and Sunday.
Sources said that the BJP BJP is implementing a two-pronged strategy of street fight (dharma, protests and rallies) and straight fight (highlighting the failures of the TRS) in Dubbak. Party president Bandi Sanjay is said to be continuously monitoring the party campaign and the latest trends in Dubbak. He is said to be holding conference calls with former MP AP Jitender Reddy, who is incharge of the party campaign. The party leadership feels that it has a fair chance of winning Dubbak and feels that whatever the result, the party should use Dubbak as a stepping stone for GHMC polls.
