Ex-servicemen support Gurmehar

Strongly protesting against the politicisation of the army, ex-servicemen consisting of more than  150 people, under the banner of the State Ex-servicemen Welfare Association (SEWA),  took out a march in support of Gurmeher Kaur , the 1st year student of Lady ShriRam college, who was targeted on social media platform for coming out courageously to protest against ABVP violence in Ramjas college on February 21st last month.

Definition of nationalism fiddled with by RSS, ABVP

SEWA president Colonel Kuldip Grewal(retd)  said that the ideology of the RSS and its student wing Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parsidhad (ABVP) is being turned into an un-christened law of the land with its political wing. The BJP, thay said has long maintained silence over their wrongdoings.

The ex-servicemen also opined that one particulat line of fundamentalist thinking is now taking an upper hand and an atmosphere of fear is being created among peace-loving people.

Solidarity with the students of Delhi against Fascism

Meantime students from all over the world have expressed solidarity with the Delhi university students for standing up against ABVP and fascism. As part of the initiative, university staff and students are photographing themselves with solidarity posters and messages and posting them on all available social media platforms.

“In Solidarity with the students of Delhi University, who have bravely resisted the fascist forces at their gates, and their valiant teachers who, despite being dragged through the streets, beaten and bruised, stood their ground to protect the universal values of democracy.”reads the statement.
